The American Public Works Association (APWA) is an international educational and professional association of public agencies, private sector companies, and individuals dedicated to providing high quality public works goods and services.

Since 1939, the American Society for Public Administration (ASPA) has represented all forums in the public service arena.  ASPA are advocates for greater effectiveness in government - agents of goodwill and professionalism - publishers of democratic journalism at its very best - purveyors of progressive theory and practice and providers of global citizenship.

AMPO is a nonprofit, membership organization established in 1994 to serve the needs and interests of "metropolitan planning organizations" (MPOs) nationwide.

The primary purpose of CSAC is to represent county government before the California Legislature, administrative agencies and the federal government. CSAC places a strong emphasis on educating the public about the value and need for county programs and services.
